A project initiated and managed by USC Lecturer Kevin Todd, the purpose of the Chroma 256 Project is to create an awareness of the complexity of our relationship and use of colour and to explore whether a standardisation is occurring due to computer-based technologies, both in terms of the internet and in the teaching of design, where software has also become international.s digital technology creating a cultural space that requires a particular kind of conformity; technological sophistication masking cultural simplicity/homogeneity? Colour is at once simple and complex, something that can be ephemeral or concrete, experienced and imagined; part culture, science and person preference. Colour is a primary component of human communication and can signify, express or suppress emotions, status, sexuality, class and power, etc. However, the colour experience of the current generation of design students (digital natives) has assumed an international dimension and standardization to the proliferation of the internet and the extent to which the technical parameters of media have influenced colour display. Chroma256 is a project developed to explore relationships to colour in an international context, a simple idea with a complex outcome; part culture, research and personal expression. The project involves design students in Australia, China, Turkey, Ecuador, South Africa, India, Germany and the United States undertaking the same colour project with the outcome being exhibited in each country.

Today teacher asks us to take 5 pictures of close up minimalist photo and figure it out the meaning of close up minimalist photo (B&W). A close-up or closeup in film making, television production, still photography and the comic strip medium is a type of shot, which tightly frames a person or an object. Close-ups are one of the standard shots used regularly with medium shots and long shots (cinematic techniques). Close-ups display the most detail, but they do not include the broader scene. Moving in to a close-up or away from a close-up is a common type of zooming.

Today teacher asks us how to use DSLR camera to Adjust EXPOSION. There is serveral ways to adjust it which is through IRIS , SHUTTER , AND ISO .
1)IRIS- adjust it through the lens body EXP : f/16 f/11 f/8 f/5.6 * ths size of iris will affect the depth of lens *the higher the size of iris the darker the picture
2)SHUTTER- fast 1/1000seconds (darker) - slowe 3seconds / 10seconds (brighter) ~ shutter speed controls the amount of the sensor exposed to light. *HANDUSE-1000 OR ABOVE (QUITE SAFE) *LOW SPEED (BLUR)
3) ISO - higher ISO (brighter) -lower ISO (darker) *high ISO create bad quality of photo
4/10/2016 TRIP TO KLANG Teacher wants us to capture some blank and white photos . So this are my photos... =)
4/10/2016 ( Tuesday ) - Sunny day We have visited to Little India area at Jalan Tengku Kelana in Klang for photography shooting. Before shooting day, teacher taught us how to adjust exposure by using DSLR camera. There have 3 ways to adjust it which are IRIS , SHUTTER SPEED AND ISO. I was so exited because I have chance to learn how to use manual setting and adjust the exposure myself. It's so interesting because I have saw different building and culture. This is my first time to visit there. This is also my first time shooting outdoor. I really appreciate our lecturer gave us this chance. At the first time, I could not adjust the exposure perfectly. After trying a few times, I start grasp the skills. I also enjoy shooting. I explored many things through shooting. I learn that capture a perfectly picture we should control the timing, light, angle and so on. In this trip I also have fun with my classmate. We shared our first time experience and some skill. Although it was tired for the whole day, but it's really fun. I wish our lecturer will give us more chance to join this kind of activities.
